Throughout the Christmas vacations at the Veerensmederij in Amersfoort

Haasje and Griet have to take care of themselves. Their father has not come home for a week because he is too busy. Meanwhile, there is no food in the house and the girls decide to trade all their belongings at school for sandwiches and candy. Toys, furniture and even the computer are exchanged. When everything runs out, they desperately search for their ever-working, absent father's office building. With a trail of cookie crumbs, they mark their route so they can find their way back home. Unfortunately, Griet cannot control her hunger; fortunately, they are helped by three special ladies.

'Cookies' is a story about two girls in a cynical business world, with calculating adults and absent parents. A painful story loosely based on "Hansel and Gretel. In this fairy tale, Annet Schaap adds a hefty number of characters. The parents of the schoolchildren seem to have stepped out of the TV series 'lice mothers'. The highlight is undoubtedly the three radiant, baking 'Dear Mothers' who cleverly use social media to sell their cookies to the public (or rather 'the child').

That you yourself will get a craving for a cookie during the performance is certain.
