Around Spakenburg
Cycle from "Keistad" Amersfoort through Arkemheen-Eemland nature reserve to the extraordinary Bunschoten-Spakenburg. Arkemheen-Eemland is a unique and extremely open area with meadow birds in the country, grazing cows in the meadow and endless vistas.
Bunschoten-Spakenburg
Bunschoten-Spakenburg is known, among other things, for its Museum Port and, of course, its costumes, but there is also a water barrier, which, at 300 meters, is the longest self-steering water barrier in the world. The Scheepstimmerwerf, where Botters are still made, is also well worth a visit. The route then heads toward Bunschoten and passes by Korenmolen de Hoop. Brasserie de Wieken, located in the mill, serves bread made from grains ground in the mill. A nice option for lunch or a cup of coffee.
Cycle boat Eem line
The route then follows part of river Eem, through Baarn, back to Amersfoort. Don't feel like biking anymore? Take the boat! Bike boat the Eemlijn will take you back to Amersfoort.
