Start your day off right and have breakfast out the door! The center of Amersfoort has plenty of places where you can score a delicious breakfast. Will you go for a pie, or do you prefer pancakes, croissants, smoothies or yogurt? Plenty of choice. ;-) I have listed three of my favorite places to have breakfast in Amersfoort for you. A good start to your day is 100% guaranteed!
SOUTH
Pavilion ZUID sits on Leusderweg in the so-called Postzegelpark. Everything they sell there is pure, organic and local. The menu is very diverse, so there is something for everyone! In the accompanying garden you can relax.
There is a playground for children, so they will love it too. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, French toast, fresh gravy and a good cup of coffee. After eating, you can browse around the store with home accessories, jewelry and clothing. Definitely worth a visit!
Miss Jacoba
This creperie is near the Our Lieve Vrouwetoren, on the Krankeledenstraat. You don't expect it, but at the back they have a beautiful terrace by the water where you can enjoy your breakfast in peace.
They have a wide selection of crepes, French toast and galettes, but you can also go there for a sandwich or bouncer. I enjoyed the galette Complète, a smoothie and a cappucchino. The galettes are made from buckwheat flour, so even with a gluten allergy you can enjoy them at Juffrouw Jacoba!
Bread & Sweets
The name says it all: they not only have breakfast, but also the most delicious cakes. Bread & Zoets is located on the Mooierstraat, near the shopping street of Amersfoort. They have delicious croissants, smoothies and a yogurt bowl. I opted for the colorful yogurt bowl with fruit and seeds. In addition, I enjoyed four small cakes for dessert. A delicious start to your day overlooking the Amersfoort canal!
