Going to the movies together - you don't have to leave your house for that. I went to the movies with friend Anna and could just keep my home suit on. No queue for the toilets, pause whenever you want and still have the fun of an evening together.

Let me start by telling you that I love movies. They offer you a unique glimpse into someone's life and thoughts. You are there at the most beautiful or most terrible moments. My movie night with Anna

Back to my movie night. In advance, Anna and I are in touch about which movie we want to watch. There is a lot of choice, but fortunately there are categories. We go for the Feel good category and choose "A rainy day in New York" . That one has been on my list for a while. We agree on a day when we will both watch it at the same time. She on her couch and I on mine. Just the anticipation of choosing the movie makes movie night a lot cozier than if I were to watch it alone.

The debriefing that ran out

During the movie, I know she is also watching and I wonder at certain scenes what she will think of them. When the movie ends, we call each other to talk afterward. [ Spoiler alert!] We agree that Ashleigh, as pale as she may seem, is secretly not so naive at all. She turns out to be far more figured out than she lets on. We like the way Gatsby looks at the world, but it is also heavy. Fortunately for him, some relief comes. Because as befits a feel-good movie, it ends sweetly. [End spoilers].

It was great to talk to Anna live, because of course we wandered off and a lot more came up. Things you don't app, but now that you have each other on the line, you want to share. Our conversation went on for a long time and we updated each other on the latest developments in our lives. Watching movies together, both in your own home, turns out to be super fun!
