5x here's where you get the sweetest treats to go!

A delicious piece of cake, muffin or other sweet treat.Can you enjoy that too? Not every day, of course, but once in a while it's okay to treat yourself. I prefer to taste the delicacies at different restaurants, to discover where they really have the tastiest ones. 1. Barista Cafe

On the very famous Hof opposite the Sint-Joriskerk you will find Barista Café. In my opinion one of the coziest places in Amersfoort. With the new to go menu they make you happy with various delicacies and you can create the perfect pampering moment. If you are a lover of carrot cake, you will want to try it once at Barista!

2. Coffee Corazon

Coffee Corazon is one of the most inspiring catering establishments in Amersfoort. It is therefore not surprising that they come up with an original concept: Corazon's Koek & Zopie stall. The stall not only looks super cozy, but you can get all kinds of delicious things there. I recommend the delicious and homemade apple pie. Tip: take a hot chocolate with you too. I won't give it away completely, but I can tell you that the cow is there for a reason....

3. Buuf in the Greenhouse

You can find BUUF in the Serre in the center of Amersfoort within the characteristic walls of former monastery the Mariënhof. With their love for baking, of course this cool joint should not be missing from this list. They have so many kinds of delicacies to choose from that you'll most likely walk out with two pieces of cake... But, that's okay for once, right?

4. Grand Café Hemels

Do you happen to be walking down Langestraat? Then you really should stop by Grand Café Hemels. Not only does it have a beautiful historic building, but also heavenly sweet treats for on the go or at home. What makes me most happy? The white chocolate cheesecake with red fruit! Hmmmmmmmm....

In addition to all that sweetness, they also have delicious sandwiches that you really want to try once. You're definitely going to enjoy those!

5. Livingstone Coffee

I did see that you were watching me cake... ;-) They have no shortage of humor at Livingstone Coffee. But of course that's not what this blog is about, because we want to see treats. And they have that too! Get an exceptionally delicious piece of cake and walk happily back to... HO! Hold on. Livingstone Coffee makes one of the best coffees in Amersfoort. You really don't want to leave here without a bakkie pleur!

Don't have a sweet tooth or have company you'd be happier with a savory treat? We've thought of that too. Drop by the Zuivelhoeve or Liefde en Ambacht. These stores are full of the most delicious and fresh cheeses. For nuts, sausages and other savory snacks, Zuivelhoeve is also the place to be!
