Art Project Signs
Stimulate your emotions and thoughts
Amersfoort City Council has asked visual artist Joanneke Meester to expand her art project 'Signs' for Randenbroek and Schuilenburg. 'Signs' consists of yellow traffic signs for which Joanneke invents her own texts inspired by places in the neighborhood. Maybe you have already noticed some signs? These signs and the texts on them have a special connection to the place where they are placed. They are meant to evoke emotions and thoughts. With each sign, you can ask yourself what the text does to you. How do you feel? What are you thinking about? What does this text mean to you? And why do you think this sign was placed right here?
* 'Signs' can be seen at various locations in Randenbroek and Schuilenburg from mid-September to mid-December 2023

Signs | Route Map
On the map you will find 14 circles where there is a yellow sign. Here you can put in a number. In the booklet you will find 14 empty yellow boards. Here you can write the text of the sign with the correct number. There is no fixed route. You determine it in advance or let yourself be surprised. Download the printable version.
