Amersfoort and water have gone hand in hand for centuries. This summer, Museum Flehite takes you on a journey along this special relationship in the exhibition "The city and water. From the early days on the banks of the Eem to the challenges of drought and heavy rain caused by climate change. With a mix of old and new art, photographs and maps, the story of Amersfoort and water comes to life.
Water is essential, but it can also be a threat in our low country. This exhibition highlights all the facets of water in our lives. Get carried away by the water stories of Amersfoort and discover the many roles of water.
THE THREE RINGS COMES WITH WATER-THEMED BEER - Have you tasted Zuiver yet?
City brewery De Drie Ringen has brewed a beer especially for the exhibition "The City and the Water" at Museum Flehite. This product, called Zuiver, is entirely from Amersfoort and brewed at De Drie Ringen itself 🍺 The label features a dipstick; a nod to the new exhibition.

"The City And The Water" and "Focus On Water"
Fancy culture and boating? Museum Flehite and Waterlijn Rondvaarten have the perfect combo for you! Start your adventure with a guided tour through the exhibition "The city and the water" in Museum Flehite. Here you will discover how city and water have always been close friends. After the tour you will board the boat of the Waterlijn for the cruise "Focus on water". Be surprised by the stories you didn't know yet!
The combination starts every Friday starting July 19: guided tour of the museum starts at 11:00 a.m. and the following cruise at 12:00 p.m. Tickets can be scored online or at the Waterline store at Krommestraat 3.
