HARVESTING VEGETABLES & HERBS
Harvesting vegetables and herbs for an entire season requires a harvest share. With a harvest share, you get to pull your own vegetables out of the ground each week. This way you eat with the seasons, fresher than fresh. And of course, you also get to enjoy the beautiful garden and nature.
Some fifty varieties of crops are grown. The season begins with turnip greens, spinach and broad beans. In the summer there are plenty of tomatoes, beans and zucchini to harvest and in the fall you can enjoy kale, celeriac and pumpkins. With the weekly harvest email, you get harvesting instructions, storage tips and recipe inspiration. Practical information can be found on the website.
The harvest pieces for this season are unfortunately sold out.
Fortunately, you can purchase the summer stripping card! The summer strippenkaart allows you to come and harvest & pick six times from July 2 to September 28, 2024. Order here.
PICKING FLOWERS
In the summer there is a wonderful flower picking garden! From mid-June to mid-October, everyone can enjoy gorgeous dahlias, marigolds, zinnias and more. It is wonderful to walk through the flower garden, hear the buzzing bees and watch butterflies flutter. No need to make an appointment, during opening hours you can spontaneously come and pick a bunch of flowers. Or order a flower picking card online, also perfect as a gift!
Picking a bunch of flowers is very simple. At the entrance to the flower picking garden, borrow a pair of scissors and pick the flowers you like. Take a leisurely stroll around and be surprised by all that is growing and blooming. When you are done, put a rubber band around your bunch of flowers and measure the size. The price is determined by the size of your bunch of flowers. You can pick a bunch from as little as €7.50, and a children's bunch costs €3.00. Payment can be made via a Tikkie (instructions are at the entrance) or by putting the amount in a jar.
TEA HOUSE
Since July 15, Land in View also has a beautiful teahouse! This is a nice meeting place for area residents, walkers and cyclists. There is space to connect with yourself, each other and nature. They serve coffee, tea, fresh juices, cookies, pastries and ice cream.
