Chapel House
The late Gothic building was built around 1500 in brick Gothic style, with many details in brick, such as blind niches and blind windows. The building was restored in 1905 on the initiative of the Antiquities Society Flehite, in which many details were restored.
On the console at the corner once stood a carved natural-stone statue of Mary. This was the seat of the Brotherhood of Our Lady, which administered Our Lady Chapel. Founded in 1445, immediately after the discovery of the miracle statue, they were actually responsible for organizing Amersfoort as a pilgrim city.
