Lazy Louis Jazzcafé & Eethuys has been located in two monumental buildings in downtown Amersfoort since 1991. Freely translated, Lazy Louis is named after legendary jazz artist Louis Armstrong, with "Lazy" standing for the relaxed, jazzy atmosphere.
Jazz & blues play an important role in the café, both in the music and in the interior. An old piano, many saxophones and paintings by Herman Brood, among others, with the eloquent name "Lazy Louis still," together with the cozy, long bar, a wide assortment of special beers and the jazz & blues music create a pleasant atmosphere.
