De Vuursche

Each section of De Vuursche therefore has its own atmosphere. In one section you walk through a dense and dark pine forest. And further on through a lovely open forest, where the sun falls on the ground. And along the way you may be surprised by a burial mound. Or by a monumental oak tree that has stood there for centuries.

Hikers, cyclists and horseback riders will find plenty to enjoy on the many forest trails in De Vuursche. Most trails are unpaved. In wet weather, sturdy shoes are recommended. The area is also easily accessible. From the NS-stations Baarn or Hollandsche Rading you can walk straight into the forestry. Castle Groeneveld is also a good base.
