De Soesterduinen

The largest shifting sand area in the province of Utrecht is a true experience. The Lange and Korte Duinen offer plenty of opportunity for a beautiful walk, a relaxing picnic, kite flying or romping with the dog.

The Lange and Korte Duinen are among the last areas in the Netherlands where active drifting sand occurs over a large area. In 1997, the Lange and Korte Duinen were declared an earth monument by the province of Utrecht.
