Den Treek-Henschoten estate
This vast area of forests, nature, agriculture and heathland covers nearly 2,200 hectares.
Den Treek-Henschoten Estate N.V. is one of the largest private estates in the Netherlands. The shareholders of Den Treek-Henschoten are descendants of the estate's founder, Jonkheer W.H. de Beaufort. In 1807 he bought the Den Treek country estate with surrounding woods and lands.
Walking and cycling
Den Treek-Henschoten estate is open to all lovers of nature. On the information panels at the various parking places you will find mapped out walking routes, which are certainly worthwhile:
- hiking trail Akkersesteeg of 4.1 km.
- hiking trail The Troet of 4.5 km.
- 4.8-km Ring Hills hiking trail.
For a nice bike ride, you can also visit Den Treek-Henschoten. Paved bicycle paths have been constructed throughout the area.
Opening hours
- Between sunrise and sunset, Den Treek-Henschoten Estate is open to walkers, cyclists and horse riders on the designated roads and paths. This is to give nature the necessary rest. Thank you for your cooperation.
