The building with front and rear houses was built in the early 17th century. In the front facade there is a trijs or hoisting cap in the middle. The hotel is named after the tobacco cultivation and trade that brought work and prosperity to Amersfoort in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The Tobacco Plant has 25 unique rooms with stunning views and a number of apartments with fully equipped kitchens. The hotel has a garden room where, overlooking the cozy courtyard garden, you can have a wonderful meeting, brainstorm, or organize a pleasant gathering. The central location of the hotel offers all the advantages of the city center and in the courtyard garden you can enjoy a drink where the birds are singing.
