...This is what the entire Gelderse Valley once looked like. In Bloeidaal you can find this old landscape again. Here, in 2007, the agricultural area was transformed into nature with sparse grassland, reed swamps, groves and pools. During heavy rainfall the area is used to collect the excess water in the Valleikanaal and the Barneveldse Beek.
The area has quickly developed into a draw for birds such as little plovers, white-winged teal, barn swallows, black-tailed godwits, curlew, redshank and teal.
