A Splendid Lack tells the compelling story of Lucia, the first and greatest love of womanizer Giacomo Casanova. Een Schitterend Gebrek is based on Arthur Japin's bestseller of the same name, which was a huge success with a 72nd printing and translations in as many as 22 countries. Japin also co-wrote the English-language film script himself.
