At a time when old rulers, CEOs, presidents and dictators want to maintain and solidify their grip on the world, Dood Paard sheds new light on King Lear with an anti-patriarchal view. How does the older generation leave society for its children? Why is it so hard to let go of control of a world they no longer have to live in? What is true, what is fake? What is madness, what is wisdom? Who can really be trusted?

King Lear is one of Shakespeare's most complex plays with many characters and plot lines. Death Horse translates the original itself and creates a wildly topical and razor-sharp adaptation.
