My dog is dead

Fokko Mellema wrote his first song in grade 7, about a dead dog. And now, 25 years later, it's actually finished. Time for a theater performance, in which there is a lot to laugh about. But not too much! Because his dog is dead.

In My Dog Is Dead, Fokko takes stock after nearly three decades of writing songs about things that could have happened to a greater or lesser extent. New songs with titles like Papa and Mama Had Sex Once And There You Were, as well as old work in a new guise. In doing so, Fokko is assisted by four versatile musicians, who do instrument changes as a hobby. Expect acoustic punk as well as a ballad with violin and wind organ. And stories behind songs like, for example, Heleen, or Sanne, or another girl's name.... Michiel Veenstra of KINK is a fan; many of Fokko's songs became jingles of his morning show.
