Be Kind (0.5+)

Be kind is an intimate theater experience for babies 6 to 18 months old and their parents/caregivers. Little ones get up close and personal with acrobatics and juggling. In this fluid performance of sound, color and movement, two circus performers take you on a sensory journey.

From the songs of early birds to luminous juggling cones at dusk, the show follows the rhythm of the day. After the performance, the artists invite little ones to explore the playing field together. They may crawl in, out, along and through the set to explore the extraordinary materials up close. Be kind is the directorial debut of Emilie Weisse, realized with the support of TENT, house for contemporary circus. In making this production, Emilie was advised by Sabine Hunnius of the Baby & Child Research Center in Nijmegen. For this collaboration between art and science, they received the Mingler Scholarship 2022.

Experiencing theater together creates a bond. Similar to reading a book together. To continue the theater experience, the creators have also released a children's book based on the performance. The book will be available after the performance.
