Musiom - house for contemporary art

Musiom is a museum of contemporary art located on the edge of the historic center of Amersfoort, offering a stage to artists born around the 1950s who have gained national and international acclaim since the 1980s. The work of these artists has already been on display in galleries and at well-known art fairs.

There is a surprising amount to see and experience in this relatively small museum! Time after time, the themed exhibitions are so different from the previous ones that you can be amazed at every visit. The personal welcome by the enthusiastic volunteers really adds to the informal atmosphere.

On the second floor is a Museum Gallery, where works of art by the participating artists can be purchased. And on the second floor is the studio of artist Hans van Horck, where you are also welcome.

In addition to pieces from the permanent collection, there are three exhibitions per year on a particular theme or focusing on a few artists.
