Strange Guests

The first weekend of October 2024, downtown Amersfoort will be the site of the seventh edition of the biennial art festival Vreemde Gasten.

On Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7, between noon and 5 p.m., dozens of doors will be open in downtown Amersfoort for art lovers, those interested in historic houses, casual passersby and people who just like to take a look behind those beautiful facades. In those houses, artists present their latest work: paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, photographs, statues, ceramics, glass and textile art, jewelry and other objects. Starting point is the City of Cahen, Muurhuizen 104. Catalog and route map are available here and a work by each participating artist will be on display, which can be purchased for a small fee.
