PERSONA NON DATA | ART PROJECT

From now until mid-November 2024, the multidisciplinary art project Persona Non Data by artists Willum Geerts and Seán Hannan i.c.w. creative programmer/ethical hacker R3boot, will fan out across Amersfoort in many guises. In this project, an artistic game is played between physical reality, the digital domain and its social ethics. Together with inhabitants of the city, it examines in a playful and adventurous way the fledgling relations between human interaction as we experience it daily and the emerging influence of a new digital reality such as artificial intelligence.

The question is "Will the machine replace man? The art project will spend the next six months exploring this new relationship between man and machine. In performances, films and a theater performance, warm stories and chilly data will be collected in the city and brought together in a poetic and technological way, for and by Amersfoorters.

During The Week of Creative AI, the first results will be experienced in, around, on, under, next to and together with Theater De Lieve Vrouw. Think performative interventions, alienating audio/video and spontaneous actions that tilt reality for a moment.

Each year, the Municipality of Amersfoort awards a commission to carry out a visual art project in Amersfoort. The art project has a strong concept, inspires and is achievable. The project is realized and executed once in Amersfoort and is in any case visible to Amersfoorters. Visual artist Willum Geerts has won this Open Call visual art 2024 for his art project Persona Non Data.
