Coffee bar and coffee roastery
"A coffee bar with a coffee roastery is a unique concept in Amersfoort," said Melle Tukker. Boot Koffie selects its own plantations and prefers to import only Direct Trade. As a result, the coffee farmers receive more than the usual Fair Trade coffee prices. The coffee beans, which we buy directly from the farmer, are roasted in the roastery in Amersfoort using traditional methods. Several times a week you can attend a live roasting. You can taste the coffee roasted at the roastery with the barista at the coffee bar or buy it for home. Specialty coffee bars can already be found in larger cities, but for Amersfoort the combination of a coffee bar and a coffee roastery is a new addition. Boot Koffie is keen to impart its knowledge: the bar and roastery will host regular coffee workshops, covering the history of coffee and cupping (tasting) different coffees. There will also be room for practice: from brewing the perfect espresso shot to making velvety milk foam. In the fall, there will be a festival and a children's workshop.
Boot Koffie, despite their specialty in coffee, remains an approachable coffee bar where everyone should feel at home. This is reflected in the living room feel and a children's area that has been created. You can also find high-quality tea from Boot in addition to delicious coffees. Moreover, there is free wifi and there are fine workstations.
