Visit a monument for free during Friends Lottery Open Monument Day 2024.
On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2024, thousands of monuments in the Netherlands will again open their doors free of charge to the general public during the Friends Lottery Open Monument Day. Everyone is welcome to take a look inside one of the beautiful monuments that are open during this weekend. There is plenty to see and experience throughout the country, for both young and old.
The theme of Open Monument Day 2024 is "Routes, Networks and Connections. Explore the fascinating history of Amersfoort's heritage. Explore the hidden stories behind ancient trade routes, pilgrim paths and railroads that connected monuments, landscapes and people.
Once again this year we are going to make fantastic days of it. And the great thing is: you can participate in (almost) everything for free.
