Pynarello - Big Bang
A new musical adventure emerges from the bang of Also Sprach Zarathustra. This Big Bang of Pynarello symbolizes a new beginning with artistic director Julian. Highlights from the iconic romantic symphonic poem take you through the story of the ancient Persian prophet.
In Big Bang, Pynarello shows its versatility and creativity. From a classical chamber orchestra setting, other sounds are added, with each fragment of Strauss' masterpiece also being the starting point of new music. Musicians Geerten Feller (viola), Kika Sprangers (jazz saxophone), Simone Bottasso (Italian organetto) and Sinan Arat (Turkish ney and Sufi vocals) compose and improvise in various styles, from minimal music to jazz and folk music from East and West, inspired by musical themes from Also Sprach Zarathustra. New connections are forged between traditional symphonic orchestral sounds and the sound worlds of these diverse creators.

Part of the concert is Vincent Rang's live visuals. On stage, he points his camera at a small container of water. The image appears many times magnified on a large projection screen. Using ink, floating objects and different lighting, a multifaceted universe of images unfolds. Thus, Big Bang is a unique fusion of sounds and images.
