This program is about Dutch pianist & singer Suzanne Manet-Leenhoff, wife of the famous painter Edouard Manet. She was once inspired by Franz Liszt in the Netherlands to study music in Paris. There she met the famous painter whom she later married in Zaltbommel. This program includes music by Franz Liszt, but also by her father Carolus Leenhoff, good friend Offenbach, beloved composer Wagner, music by the father of her son, Gustave-Adolphe Koëlla and music by Jean-Baptiste Fauré. The musicians take their audience into this wonderful story and explain the program both orally and in pictures, with paintings by Manet.

In 2020, their CD of the same name "La Lecture," recorded by the TRPTK label, was released from this program.
