What do jazz dance, urban dance and musicals have in common? More than you think! They all came over from the United States! They emerged from a unique blend of cultures and styles, each with its own twist. They are art forms full of energy, rhythm and passion. And bursting with creative freedom. They literally get you moving and you can practice them at Scholen in de Kunst. Both in the Eemhuis (center) and in ICOON (Vathorst).

Jazzdance
Scholen in de Kunst offers jazzdance lessons for dancers with some experience. In the lessons we work on the further development of flexibility, technique, dynamics and expression. An excellent work-out, next to your busy daily life!

Urban dance: hiphop & breakdance
At Scholen in de Kunst all ages can take a hip-hop course. Participants are introduced to various street styles and hip-hop moves. They work on performance, movements, expression, timing and feeling. For the real b-boys and b-girls there is a breakdance course. In the lessons children learn the different moves of breakdance: from top rock (standing dance), footwork (dancing from a crouched position), power moves to freezes. How cool is that!

Musical
Singing, dancing and acting together, that's what a musical course is all about. Participants receive challenging game assignments, acting and singing tips. They will rehearse scenes, songs and choreographies together. It is therefore enormously varied and varied.
