Two locations

Where Musiom usually focuses on artists born in or around the 1950s, a selection of artists from the 1930s through the 1980s has now been made. An exhibition featuring 23 artists, divided between two locations: Musiom and Mariënhof, located a stone's throw from each other on the Stadsring in Amersfoort. Both locations feature a sculpture garden and an indoor exhibition.

Big names

All participating artists have already made their mark on a national level. There will also be work by some internationally very well-known artists such as Bob Bonies, Ewerdt Hilgemann and Ronald A. Westerhuis.

Of course, guest curator Roland de Jong Orlando himself is also participating. Since early 2023, work by him has been in Musiom's collection. He has previously curated successful exhibitions at home and abroad around concrete art, such as the international traveling exhibition "Reductive.NL" in 2014-'15, with work by 32 Dutch artists.

Diversity

The exhibiting artists all give a personal interpretation of conrete art, resulting in enormous diversity. From monumental sculptures by Ewerdt Hilgemann to elegant jewelry by Cees Post. And from handmade fabrics by Theo Rooden to mechanically moving objects by Willem van Weeghel.
