THE CITY AND THE WATER | MUSEUM FLEHITE

Amersfoort has traditionally had an intensive relationship with water. The exhibition The City and Water is about this close relationship. From the origins of the city on the river Eem to periods of drought and heavy rainfall due to the current climate change. By means of old and new art, photography and (historical) maps, Museum Flehite visualizes the city and the water this summer.

Water is useful, vital even, but in our low-lying country sometimes dangerous and life-threatening. These different sides of the element are all discussed.
Dive into the water stories of Amersfoort and reflect on the various roles water plays in everyone's lives. An art exhibition about history and actuality.
