TRAIN, DRAWING & TROPICAL ICE CREAM | 6+

TOETTOET ... This train does run! And especially for the Art Brewery, too. How fun is that. And what's even more fun ... you're not only riding around the beautiful downtown Amersfoort but also going to draw.

At 09.30 sharp the train leaves from the Eemplein. Together with the train driver and artist Dorine Sneep you ride from stop to stop. At each stop you get off and get a drawing assignment. You are going to make a sketch. This is allowed to be loose and fast because before you know it the train is already moving on to the next stop.

When you have reached the end station you will work out one of your sketches on a large sheet in the Eemhuis. Super fun of course. Should you find it difficult, Dorine will help you and give you tips and advice. The end result? A few sketches, a large painted work AND a fantastic train ride! It could hardly be more fun.

During the last fifteen minutes (from 12:15) parents are welcome to come and watch the mini-exhibition of the sketches and the big work. Of course, if your work goes home with you!

During the break we will have lemonade with some goodies.

The very first tourist train ran in 1879? That was in England on the Ffestiniog Railway. This was a small train originally used to transport slate, but people enjoyed the ride so much because of the beautiful scenery that it soon became a tourist attraction.
