WIES | FLUOR

WIES is a Dutch-speaking pop trio from Amsterdam, consisting of Jeanne Rouwendaal, Tobias Kolk and Dan Huijser. In addition to influences from alternative rock and electronica, the music of WIES is characterized by an unmistakable Do It Yourself mentality. The songs are thoughts on both the big questions in life and the small things that occupy a young adult. The debut album "It's A WIES" was released in 2021 and includes the singles "Sometimes It's Too Late," "Barman" and "Girl.

2023 saw the release of the second album , "Everything Else," with which the band delves into depth both musically and conceptually. On the album you will hear recognizable messages about life and death, joy and sorrow, love and pain. Songwriter and front woman Jeanne Rouwendaal puts herself under the microscope in this album and shares a piece of herself in her stories, with which she hopes that the listener in turn feels seen and heard. In this time capsule full of important moments you can hear the 3FM Megahit and StuBru Catch of The Day 'Ik Zie Ik Zie'. In addition, you will hear the track 'Liar II' on the album; an updated sound, but still characteristically WIES.
