Dear People

The creators of the critically acclaimed show The Shell Case are coming up with the new show Dear People. For this, theater producer and writer Anoek Nuyens researched climate speeches of the past fifty years. The performance not only presents historical speeches, but also shows the history of the climate movement. It was once characterized by optimism. Now, fifty years later, by despair. The question now on the table: what comes after that despair? Can the turning point lie in the sum of speeches?

Dear People is a topical performance about inspired climate language, rich imagination and poor politics and is performed by actress Hannah Hoekstra (winner of Theo d'Or 2019). It is directed by Erik Whien (known for performances such as Grief is the Thing with Feathers and A Case for the Existence of God).
