Visit to Civic Orphanage

The walking tour of Amersfoort passes by Zuidsingel 25 where the Civil Orphanage is located. Here you will go back in time and meet children/orphans from around the year 1600.

In 1600, orphans were cared for at the Civil Orphanage on Westsingel. Some of them had lost their parents to the last plague epidemic that raged from time to time. At the Civil Orphanage, these times are brought to life every summer vacation.

Step inside without appointment during the period July 17 to August 30 on Wednesdays through Saturdays. From 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
