Janneke de Bijl | Do you do people too?

Believe it or not, but in fact Janneke is an optimist. Always has been, too. Life isn't that complicated: If you're tired, sit down. If you don't like something, stop doing it. The only problem is that other people often don't listen to her, even though she really had 550 on her Cito test.

Janneke may be in a solid package, but inside she is more cross than cross. She analyzes, agitates, demonstrates, puts things into perspective and playbacks.

Do You Do People? is a performance about the flip side of friendship and the harshness of animal love. With the essential questions being: How are the Hutus and the Tutsis doing? Can you save someone who wants to die? And where do you place the exclamation points in your agenda?

Janneke de Bijl won Cameretten, is a member of Comedytrain and was named comedy talent of 2019 by the Volkskrant. She also makes regular appearances on Radio 1 and beyond. Do You Do People? is her third cabaret program. In the summer of 2023, her debut novel Als, dan was published by Nijgh & van Ditmar. And oh yes, she is also a philosopher - not continuously, but all the time.
