Lion King concert - St. Caecilia

Music Society Sint Caecilia is proud to announce a unique and enchanting concert featuring the beloved music from Disney's musical The Lion King. The concert will take place on Saturday, November 16 at 8 p.m. at the Eem Monastery Onze Lieve Vrouw ter Eem in Amersfoort.

During this special concert, the brass band will perform the music from the iconic and beloved musical The Lion King. From the energetic opening with "Circle of Life" to the touching melodies of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," the audience can look forward to a musical journey through the African savannah.

Jan-Aart Ponstein the conductor of the brass band orchestra of music society Sint Caecilia, shares his enthusiasm, "I grew up with the movie and thus the music of The Lion King. It is perhaps the movie I saw most often when I was young and I still love the music. It's great to bring this music to life together with the orchestra and have the audience enjoy it too."

Art Competition and Exhibition
Leading up to the concert is an art contest with the theme "The Lion King." Participants of all ages are invited to submit their creations. The winning paintings will be displayed during the concert, allowing the audience to enjoy these works of art while listening to the beautiful music. This provides a unique opportunity to bring different forms of art together.
