During this unique cruise, there will be nighttime sailing to see shooting stars (also known as Perseids). Sailing across the Eem, far away from the light pollution of Amersfoort. In the open countryside around the Coelhorst estate, the Perseids are especially good to observe. This nighttime sailing of the Eemlijn is done in cooperation with Sterrenwacht Midden-Nederland (Central Netherlands Observatory) from Amersfoort. An expert from the observatory will be on board to explain about the night sky in general and shooting stars in particular.
