Van Dolron: "Our desire for originality has exhausted and worn out the world. I can want to be original, but we have to start doing something, all of us. Now. This is the first performance in which I will consciously engage with the climate disaster and the mass extinction already underway. By not wanting anything new but cherishing what IS or saving what can be saved."

Although Van Dolron has always recycled pieces, she makes a new show every year. Until now. In her new performance, she plunges into our desire for something new. By wanting to make Nothing New, buying Nothing New as a costume, putting down Nothing New as a set, wanting to say Nothing New. In Nothing new, Van Dolron says something true, something important, something that puts a stop to the tremendous drive for innovation that has propelled us into exhausting and eroding our earth.
