FULL OF ART - MINDFULNESS WORKSHOP

Would you like to experience a work of art fully and for a long time? And would you like to discover how much more you experience a work of art and your own experience when you slow down?

This is now possible at Museum Flehite during a mindful art experience in the exhibition The City and the Water, at the impressive glass installation Strong Water by Ans Bakker.

Mindfulness workshop

With the mindfulness workshop, we look at art extensively and differently. You choose your own position in the room where the workshop is given to look at the work. After a short introduction and explanation you look in silence and will be guided by Hester Noort in a mindful, meditative way. Afterwards we exchange experiences.

What is mindfulness?
In short: Mindfulness has its roots in Buddhism and is described as "paying deliberate attention to the present moment, without judgment" (J. Kabat-Zinn). Mindfulness is about the art of being present in the here and now, being fully aware of your present experience and dealing with it in a gentle, non-judgmental way or relevantly fully enjoying it!
