Pizza is perhaps the ultimate comfort food. But what goes on it, how thick the bottom should be and which combination is really not acceptable. Opinions differ about that. For our series good local food we asked on our Facebook page and Insta where you can get the crispiest and best filled pizzas of Amersfoort. These are our locals' favorites:
Pizza Bombari
At Bombari, you'll enjoy pizza with pure perfection. Unique toppings, fresh ingredients and a delicious fluffy crust. If you love pizza, Bombari's are definitely worth trying!

La Base Pizza
Since 2016, La Base Pizza has received the official seal of approval from the Associazone Verace Pizza Napoletana as one of the first in the Netherlands. That means you can eat authentic pizzas according to Neapolitan recipe there. Yum!

Pizzeria Pompeii
Because of its crispy base, large selection and gluten-free options, Pizzeria Pompeii was mentioned by many Amersfoorters. On the menu you will find all the classics among pizzas and many more Italian delights.

Madonna
Not a pizzeria, but certainly a local favorite; Madonna's wood-fired oven pizzas. You have, nice and clear, a choice of five types of pizza. Because of the Italian angle, they serve even more Italian dishes.

O Sole Mio*
At O Sole Mio, in turn, it is the flavors of Sardinian cuisine that take center stage. Besides the many types of pizza, you can also find other typical Italian dishes.
