Special Fresh from TUUR

Tom van Lamoen (co-founder): "While traveling through Mexico, Anne, one of the founders, came across an ancient drink called kombucha. He found it both very dirty and interesting. When he came back and told us about it, we started the experiment to make something delicious out of it."
RecepTUUR
"Basically, kombucha is a fermented tea with its own mother culture, also called 'scoby.' Our approach differs from the normal process; in fact, we ferment the organic fruit along with it. There are now four flavors: the original, 'Gilles de la TUURette' with raspberry, 'DeparTUUR' with pear and lavender and 'PunkTUUR' with mango and pine needles. There is also a limited edition with figs. By the way, we encourage everyone to make it themselves, so our recipe is just online!"
Specialfresh
"In terms of health value, TUUR has an infinite shelf life. The taste does deteriorate over time. This is due to the process both before, during and after the soft drink is bottled. So, as with beer, making it requires a lot of depth. That's why we call it "special-fresh"!
