Every month we highlight a locally brewed drink. In both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic field, Amersfoorters know what to do. Whether you go for a delicious wine, a refreshing beer, a special cocktail or a special-fresh: in Amersfoort it is made! With this month's spotlight:

Limoncello from AMICI

Created by: Floris van de Stadt and Melvin Merkenij
Available at: including Gall & Gall, The Professor, Stadscafé

Floris: "We know each other from our work in the Amersfoort hospitality industry. On busy evenings, as bar staff you occasionally take a shot of limoncello to keep going. We both felt that something could be done with the taste and look of the drink. That's why we started AMICI a year ago. That it is already being picked up so well, we never expected!"

Best of the best
Melvin:
"Limoncello has the reputation of being a drink you are offered in a restaurant. We want to make it an insane taste experience. To do that, we use carefully selected ingredients. We import the lemons from the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Then that zest is exclusively on the middle part of the grain alcohol. After all, that is the softest part. Finally, we use osmosis water, or water in its purest form."

AMICI Party
Melvin:
"On the last Sunday of every month, we organize 'AMICI Sunday' with Gastrobar The Professor at the Hof. Between four and seven there is a live DJ and you can have a nice drink. With friends, of course. AMICI doesn't mean 'friends' in Italian for nothing!"
