The AVK has been held since 1985 and is a unique tournament in which all clubs in Amersfoort compete for the Amersfoort championship.

HIGHEST PLAYING ASSOCIATION
VV Hoogland, the largest soccer club in Amersfoort and the surrounding area, naturally had the ambition to become champion at the AVK. With the first team active in the 4th Division on Sunday, the club is known for its strong presence in the soccer world. Since its founding on June 1, 1946, the club has grown into an association with as many as 1,698 members, 1,509 of whom actively play soccer in one of its 97 teams. With the support of over 400 volunteers, VV Hoogland forms an indispensable link in local life.
THE OLDEST CLUB IN THE CITY
AFC Quick is the oldest club in Amersfoort, with only 15 clubs founded earlier in the Netherlands. The club was founded in 1890 and currently plays its matches at Sportpark Dorrestein

VV Amsvorde recently won the election for the most beautiful amateur shirt in the Netherlands. The shirt, which was only worn by Amsvorde's third team, will be worn by the entire club in season 24/25 for the club's 100-year anniversary, Amsvorde president Danny de Graaf has decided.

PAID SOCCER IN AMERSFOORT
Did you know that HVC Amersfoort once played in professional soccer? The club played its matches in the Eerste Divisie and even reached the semi-finals of the KNVB Beker in the 56/57 and 60/61 seasons! In 1973, the amateur and professional branches of HVC were separated; the pros continued as SC Amersfoort. The games were played between 1954 and 1982 at Sportpark Birkhoven, which is now home to AMHC.
