The City and the Water
This summer you can just barely see the roof of a sinking house sticking out above the surface of the water on the Westsingel. Fortunately, Amersfoort is not yet under water. With his work 'Motor Home', artist Willem de Haan humorously draws attention to the destructive power of water. Motor Home is part of 'The City and the Water'. This exhibition shows people's relationship with water in the past, present and future. A mix of old and new art, photographs and maps bring the water stories of Amersfoort to life. Take a dive and discover the conflicting roles the element plays in everyone's life.
