The zoo for kids
In The Amersfoort Zoo you clamber under, above and among the animals. You don't have to walk neatly along the visitor paths at all. Wiggle above the bear, cruise past the ring-tailed lemurs and dive underground with the badgers.
Clamber through the hyena enclosure, travel to the savannah with giraffes and zebras, visit the elephant family and meet newborn elephant Yindi. Through a mysterious lion dungeon you will get to the king of animals. Further on you will see the penguins swimming underwater and dive among the prairie dogs. In the park it seems as if you are in the middle of the animals. Just like that, you stand at a nose length away from the tiger and a large vulture approaches you.
